Climate-i announced today that it had received £120k in early stage investment from the Carbon13 Venture Builder.
The company successfully demonstrated that its predictive monitoring solution to tackle F-gas emissions had the potential to mitigate CO2e emissions by 10 million tonnes per year when at scale – a prerequisite of receiving Carbon13 support.
Climate-i CEO, Elinor Wakefield, said “We are delighted to have received this endorsement from Carbon13. The investment will allow our team to move ahead developing our predictive technology to tackle F-gas emissions – a huge but neglected problem area.”
Climate-i is working to reduce the world’s most potent emissions: fluorinated gases (F-gases). These play a critical role in cooling, refrigeration and electricity systems globally but are powerful greenhouse gases, making up around 5% of C02e emissions each year – more than those from aviation.
