Climate-i receives CarbonFix and Cranfield University investment

Climate-i has secured investment from CarbonFix and Cranfield University’s Seed Fund.

In a statement announcing its investment, CarbonFix said, “We are excited to announce funding UK-based Climate-i, a pioneering climate venture taking on F-gases. Climate-i’s technology to address SF6 leakage offers a practical solution for an industry essential to the green transition, especially as data centers expand and electrification accelerates.”

Cranfield University’s Seed Fund is a philanthropic investment fund that provides early stage capital to promising businesses. Its investment follows the award of a Future Frontiers Fund grant to Climate-i by the University last year.

Elinor Wakefield, Climate-i CEO, said, “We thrilled to be working with both CarbonFix and Cranfield University’s Seed Fund. We have already benefitted enormously from their feedback and advice. Their investments will help us meet further technical milestones on our path to commercialisation.”
